Jen calls 16 Paws her children’s book for adults because it is a story for all ages about 4 beautiful pooches, modeled after Jen’s very own pack, who choose beauty and love above all else, no matter what life brings them!
16 Paws and A Special Kind of Grace, is a heartfelt celebration of the invisible but essential treasures of life: love, friendship, and the simple joys that make a house a home, as well as a celebration of Long Island’s North Shore. This enchanting adventure follows four charismatic Pomeranian pups—Cosette, Bentley, Honeybear, and Valentine—as they embark on a magical journey to protect the beauty and warmth of their beloved seaside community.
Set against the backdrop of the North Shore’s iconic landmarks—such as Planting Fields Arboretum and the seemingly endless Gold Coast mansions along the forever winding serene coastline full of all the grandeur The Great Gatsby promises—their adventure is infused with timeless lessons about courage, creativity, and connection and honoring the “small things” in life which are often the biggest. Xo. Complementing the narrative are curated “Paw Notes” filled with real recipes for pups & their parent alike, history about the local area, art and activities, inviting readers to savor the same joys celebrated in the book: soft candlelight, cozy blankets, fresh sourdough bread, and the irreplaceable warmth of home and heart.
